Servers & Compute
Physical systems used for virtualization, Windows Server, identity services, storage, and testing.
Cisco UCS C220 M4S
2U rack server with dual Xeon E5-2690 v3 processors, 128 GB ECC memory, and 10Gb networking. Proxmox host.
View server →Dell PowerEdge R540
Dual Xeon Silver 4214R compute system with approximately 64 GB RAM and large-capacity storage.
View server →Titan Systems
Additional Supermicro compute nodes used for Windows Server, Active Directory, labs, and experimentation.
View systems →Network
Switching and connectivity tying the homelab together.
Storage
Storage used throughout the lab for operating systems, virtual machines, games, backups, and bulk data.
Platforms & Services
Core software platforms running throughout the environment.
Proxmox Virtual Environment
Virtualization platform used to host lab workloads and experiment with server infrastructure.
Windows Server / Active Directory
Domain services, Group Policy, identity management, and Windows Server administration labs.
Entra ID & Hybrid Identity
Hybrid identity experiments involving Entra ID, synchronization, authentication, MFA, and access controls.
Remote Access
Controlled access to homelab services. These can later connect to the temporary-IP whitelist system we discussed.
Lab Notes
Quick reminders about how this page is organized.
Adding a new card
Copy an existing card. Change its href, title, description, and icon. The CSS handles the layout automatically.
Adding a new section
Copy one of the existing section blocks. Give it a unique id such as backup or monitoring, then add a navigation link if needed.
Changing a redirect
Find the card and change only the text inside href="...". For another page on this site, use something like server-c220.html. For an external site, use the full HTTPS URL.
Equipment changes
When hardware is sold, remove its card from the current equipment section rather than leaving it listed as active.
Built for the lab. Built to grow.
This page is intentionally modular. As you add servers, network equipment, storage, services, and projects, you can add a card without rebuilding the rest of the page.
